HistoricalTheology.org Version 2.0

February 1, 2019

Author - Geoff Chang

Welcome to the newly redesigned HistoricalTheology.org! Since our launch in 2017, we’ve enjoyed sharing riches from church history through our blog. Who knew that Puritan women could encourage us in our Bible reading? Or that early church sermons could be so edifying? Or that Charlemagne had something to teach us about grief? Or that Karl Barth loved kids’ music? Or that Charles Spurgeon could get so worked up about church membership?

With the website redesign, we will continue to offer these vignettes into church history through our blog. You can click on Articles from the home page and this will take you to our latest posts. We’ll also be organizing our entries based on Period and a variety of Tags on the sidebar, which will make our content more accessible.

We’re also going to be offering something new! We now have a Theologians page, which is our effort to provide a more structured view of church history. Here is a quick way to learn the story of a figure from church history, with some recommendations for places to begin. This page will continue to grow over time, and we look forward to introducing you to men and women from all kinds of traditions, places, and times.

We hope this website will be a helpful resource for you as you explore the riches of church history with us. We’re always happy to hear from you, so please drop us a note!
